I've been designing websites since I was a teenager, staying up way too late on my big Windows desktop computer. My trusty companion is now a Mac, and along the way I've gained a degree in Multimedia Design and E-Concept Development. That basically means that I know my way around creating + developing concepts, marketing, and — of course — web design and development.
When I first started out, the Internet was a very different place. You could only choose between 5 fonts, people were using tables to build websites, and WordPress was a mere twinkle in its father's eye. So much has changed, and I personally think the Web has never been more exciting than it is right now! We've got responsive design, plugins, WordPress, Retina optimization, a million font choices... you name it! If some of these words sound alien to you, don't worry, that's what I'm here for. :)
I've been helping people improve their online spaces for over 3 years. When my domain name became available, I jumped at the chance, and my little business was born in 2012. My business is named after me (hi, I'm Cristina!). Very creative. Hey, my strong skills lie in design, not in naming things, alright? Anyway, since then I've worked with people from all over the world. My main clients are bloggers and small businesses.
My design style has evolved a lot over the years, and I've become a big believer in minimalism. My favorite design quote is by Charles Eames: "The details are not the details. They make the design." I love taking a busy and confusing website or blog — with lots of potential, nevertheless — and simplifying it, so the real message can shine through.
